Digital Stadium Design: Three Parts
In collaboration with Leeds Digital Festival
First Half: 10:00 – 10:45
Part one: Fan engagement to create diverse experiences for a diverse fan-base
The first part of our stadium trilogy. In this session we look at the origins of a typical stadium project. How can a football club align their aspirations with their budget? How can they develop a brief that is more sophisticated than ‘add X number of seats’ or ‘create a world-class stadium’? How can clubs integrate their supporter base into the design journey?
In discussion with Andy Pottinger (Buro Happold) and Mo Maghazachi (Everton FC).
Second Half: 11:00 – 11:45
Part two: Rapid prototyping to inform client decision making
The second part of our Stadium trilogy. A session conveying how we are gamifying the design process, providing more options, more detail, and greater cost confidence for clients in the early stages of our Stadium development projects.
In discussion with Rob May (Buro Happold), Mo Maghazachi (Everton FC) and Nick Tyrer (BDP Pattern).
Extra Time: 12:00 – 12:45
Part three: Building a unique stadium from standard components
The third and final part of our Stadium trilogy. This session will describe how we are not just pushing the boundaries in design; together with Laing O-Rourke, we are pushing the boundaries in construction too. The new Everton FC Stadium will be a stadium built from a sophisticated kit of parts – faster to build, higher quality, less waste.
In discussion with Joe Darcy (Buro Happold), Mo Maghazachi (Everton FC) and John Lawton (Laing O’Rourke).
