Rob joined Buro Happold in 2004, working initially in the Leeds office in the UK before moving to the USA to work in our New York office and help to establish Buro Happold in Los Angeles. Rob has worked on a variety of projects including Brian Lara Cricket Academy, Harvard Allston Science Complex, Haramain High Speed Rail, the Aviva Stadium, Kirkby Everton Stadium, West Kowloon Terminus Express Rail Link, Tong Shan, Manila Arena and WTown.
In 2009 Rob moved to Hong Kong to join the project team delivering the West Kowloon Terminus for the Express Rail Link from Hong Kong to Guanzhou. As his focus moved to projects in mainland China, Rob relocated to the Beijing office in 2011. He is now based in the Bath office.
Rob has worked on a wide variety of complex and large scale building projects from concept to construction, including stadia, arenas, cultural and infrastructure buildings. He has detailed knowledge and experience of applying software solutions including Rhino, Grasshopper, Revit, Robot and other specialist software/bespoke scripts, to solve complex engineering problems, and was involved in a practice-wide programme to maximise the application of Building Information Modelling (BIM) on building projects.
