Asset consultancy combines successful management techniques with the latest technologies to deliver strategies for more efficient buildings

We provide clients with sound property advice for both individual buildings and larger portfolios. Every member of our team has practical knowledge of design, operation and maintenance specifications for buildings in the UK, Europe and overseas. That means we are able to offer expert guidance on maximising assets at every stage of a building’s life – from acquisition, to operation, to refurbishment, through to disposal.

Our team work closely with our clients to understand their commercial needs and the role built assets play in business delivery. We adopt an ‘end-user’ approach, stepping into our client’s shoes to experience day-to-day operations. Case in point

The Natural History Museum, London, commissioned Buro Happold to undertake a condition survey of their built estate, located at various sites across the UK. The Asset Consultancy team played a major part in managing and executing the commission. Working with other Buro Happold specialists, we conducted a full prioritisation analysis to identify the engineering issues most important to the museum’s stakeholder groups. The study outcomes dovetailed with the museum’s existing strategic objectives for informing the design of new visitor and back of house spaces. These included enhancing the visitor experience, supporting educational and outreach work, and reducing the impact of the facilities on the natural environment.

We really do appreciate the support that Buro Happold is giving in enabling us to realise this opportunity…without Buro Happold’s professional input I don’t think we’d even be in the running.
