David has built up extensive knowledge and experience of building design, construction, and operation and the application of simulation, optimising comfort and energy performance in and around buildings. 

David understands that in order to meet our climate change and zero carbon commitments the design, construction and operation of buildings requires refocussing on delivering buildings that perform in operation as intended. David is a member of the NABERS UK Independent Design Review Panel that educates clients, design teams, constructors, and operators, supporting the delivery of operationally energy efficient office buildings. He is actively supporting the Design for Performance initiative of the Better Buildings Partnership and how this approach can be applied to all types of buildings.
