Jonathan Rowe

Jonathan is a Chartered Engineer and Ground Engineering Project Leader at Buro Happold, having joined in 2014.

Jonathan leads the delivery of ground engineering projects from concept schemes to the construction stage with a focus on managing and mitigating ground related risk. His expertise includes scoping complex onshore and offshore ground investigations, and construction supervision, remediation, validation, and control.

Jonathan ensures that ground engineering designs focus on on-site personnel health and safety, ease of construction and the optimisation of construction materials. By focusing on intelligent and efficient working procedures, he enjoys the challenge of optimising ground engineering design by proposing sustainable and cost-effective solutions.

Jonathan also provides his teams with numerical analyses including ground impact assessments, slope stability and complex foundation designs.

With his significant construction experience, he believes that the most innovative solutions are achieved through close collaboration with clients, designers and contractors.

Throughout his career, Jonathan has worked with industry-leading stakeholders, investors and developers on projects across the UK and the Middle East. His project portfolio largely spans the infrastructure, education, major buildings and stadium sectors.
