Antonio is a fully qualified RIBA Architect and urban planner, with 10 years’ experience in leading strategic urban and regional development projects across multiple geographies.

His expertise is in spatial planning, sustainable urban development, and urban socioeconomics, with a focus on achieving sustainability, resilience, and inclusive growth. Antonio holds an MSc in Sustainable Urban Development from the Bartlett School of Planning (2017) and one in Local Economic Development from the London School of Economics and Political Science (2021). Since 2017 Antonio has combined his work at Buro Happold with being an adjunct teaching assistant and lecturer at UCL’s Bartlett school of planning and South Bank University.

Before joining BuroHappold Antonio designed several masterplan projects such as the new SKY campus in Osterlay, London and Heathrow’s Terminal 5 landside masterplan. At Buro Happold Antonio has led a multitude of multidisciplinary projects in Asia, Africa, the Middle East, Central America and Europe.

Antonio’s academic and professional experience has provided him with a thorough understanding of the social, economic, and environmental synergies entwined in the development of cities and regions and has equipped him with the skills to design, implement and monitor complex urban and regional development strategies.
