Our presence in the region combines international expertise from Buro Happold’s global cities and engineering teams with local expertise from our Jakarta team.
Our projects range from city and regional masterplanning to major infrastructure developments. The work of our consulting engineers and planning experts addresses the key issues within the Indonesian market, including urban regeneration, transit-oriented development, sustainability, climate adaptation and economic growth. Our project portfolio spans the sport and entertainment, cultural, tourism, science and technology sectors.
Buro Happold’s Jakarta office delivers projects across Indonesia and in the wider Southeast Asian market, including Malaysia, Thailand and the Philippines.
Our Jakarta team work on local and regional projects, including strategic planning and public policy, masterplanning, concept design and implementation management.
The team delivers urban planning solutions and engineering services for the built environment with support from our international, multidisciplinary offices based in Europe and the UK. In 2020, we officially opened an office in Jakarta.
Our regional team of city planners and economists understand the particular issues that Indonesia face. We work with national and regional governments, city leaders, state-owned enterprises and the private sector to address national priority projects and assist with the post-Covid-19 recovery.
