Under the new framework, Buro Happold, with its key collaborators, will provide technical and professional services to help Homes England deliver its strategic objectives over the next four years.

DaRTS will run from 2023 to 2027 and has been introduced as the replacement for Homes England’s 2019-2023 multidisciplinary framework for accessing technical and professional services.

Homes England and other public sector bodies can utilise the framework and facilitate the transformation of underutilised urban areas to create sustainable urban neighbourhoods that allow us to simultaneously tackle the climate, biodiversity, and housing crises.

Homes England chief development officer, Barry Cummins, said: “We want to work with ambitious suppliers who can help us drive regeneration and housing delivery to create high-quality homes and thriving places across the country.

“Suppliers appointed to the new framework bring with them a wealth of knowledge and housing expertise that will enhance the work of Homes England. In addition to the re-procurement of a multidisciplinary lot providing a comprehensive range of technical and professional services, a second placemaking-focussed lot will allow us to engage directly with specialists to help deliver our agenda to promote quality, decency, good design and sustainability.”

Commenting on the appointment, Buro Happold partner and London Office Director, Justin Phillips, added: “The DaRTS framework is Homes England’s largest professional services framework and is a great accolade for the practice. From the Millennium Dome to the Olympic Park and Stratford Waterfront, to our latest step change project in Mayfield, Manchester, Buro Happold has a proud history delivering transformational projects for our towns and cities. We’re thrilled to see this recognised by Homes England.”
