Robert Gordon
Director
Joining Buro Happold in 2019, Robert is the Director for our Hong Kong office. With over 25 years of international experience as a consulting engineer, he specialises in transport infrastructure projects.
Robert has led multidisciplinary engineering teams across the UK, China, Vietnam, Thailand and Malaysia, spending the last eight years in Hong Kong. He has project managed and delivered many significant rail, infrastructure and masterplanning developments across Asia.
These include the immersed tube tunnel for the Shatin-Central Link, Art Park and Freespace Theatre for the West Kowloon Cultural District and Wan Chai Connect in Hong Kong. Robert was also the Director and Project Manager for a major masterplanning and engineering study for the Red River in Hanoi, Vietnam.
He studied Civil Engineering and Construction Management at University of Leeds, and has been Chartered Engineer since 2005. He is also a Fellow of the Institution of Civil Engineers (FICE) and a Fellow of the Hong Kong Institution of Engineers (FHKIE).
