Phil Tanner
Associate Director
Phil is part of Buro Happold’s design and project management team in Bath. He has worked in the construction industry for over 25 years and has gained a wealth of experience on a wide range of projects. Phil started his career working as a quantity surveyor, developing cost management skills and an eye for detail.
Phil has worked on a multitude of projects during his 23 years with Buro Happold; from coordinating a multi-disciplined team delivering a new five storey car park at Heathrow Terminal 2, to leading major urban redevelopment projects in the Middle East.
He has also helped coordinate change management for the London 2012 Olympic Stadium and the subsequent Olympic Stadium transformation.
Phil works closely with discipline job leaders and design team colleagues to ensure tight control is kept on project costs and to achieve practical solutions to constructional problems while never losing sight of the client’s requirements.
