Ron Elad is a principal in BuroHappold Engineering’s Los Angeles office. He has expertise in project leadership, complex geometry, computational design and fabrication.
Currently he runs the Los Angeles Modeling Team where BIM is heavily implemented on both structural and environmental projects. His key strengths include collaboration with clients in early stages of the design process and managing unique projects such as art installations and complex geometry projects. His unique contribution to a project covers a holistic approach where aesthetics, feasibility, sustainability, technical aspects and budget are being valued and implemented.
Ron leads multi-disciplinary engineering teams on projects that require cross-office collaboration where BuroHappold is the prime consultant. He also leads the US cultural sector and provides project and team leadership to help clients meet their goals.
Ron is also actively engaged in academic studios and leading seminars at education institutions including University of California, Los Angeles ‘Suprastudio’, Massachusetts Institute of Technology, Stanford University, University of Texas Austin, and University of Southern California (USC).
