Joining Buro Happold’s Bath office in 2017, Pernille is a senior member of our ecology and biodiversity management team.
The technical lead for most of our UK ecology projects, Pernille has been working as a consultant within this specialist field since 2004. She manages and delivers the ecology component on projects, as well coordinating with the wider design team. She provides technical information and advice to clients, architects, landscape architects, lighting specialists, engineers, builders, project managers, local planning authorities and statutory nature conservation agencies.
In addition to her ecology expertise, Pernille specialises in incorporating green infrastructure and other ecological enhancements into emerging designs to deliver biodiversity net gain and to evidence this though biodiversity net gain calculations.
Pernille’s built environment industry experience ranges from independent consultancy work to European and UK-based consultancy firms. This includes an international firm of consulting engineers based in Denmark, where she worked on projects funded by the World Bank, EU, UNEP and the Danish Government.
