Jochen Müller

Jochen is an Energy Consultant with almost 20 years of experience in energy consulting and real estate management. He joined Buro Happold in 2022 and is based at our Munich office

At Buro Happold, Jochen leads our Munich team of energy consultants and advisors as well as working closely with our Cities Consulting Europe. He is responsible for developing the team, service offering and establishing Buro Happold as a trusted partner for large-scale public projects.

Jochen also supports and advises our clients on procurement, lifecycle cost modelling and asset management as well as operation and maintenance strategies

Before joining Buro Happold, he worked for the automotive industry where he developed feasibility studies for holistic energy concepts aimed at reducing the carbon footprint of production sites and R&D centres located within city districts. During his time in the automotive industry, he also worked on several roll-out projects for leading automotive companies to set up the infrastructure for e-car charging stations. 

Jochen holds an international MBA in sales & service engineering as well as an MEP engineering diploma. His strong interest in sales led him to graduate as a sales engineer at the German Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CCI) after his studies in 2004. Jochen started his career as an MEP engineer having studied HVAC Energies at the University of Applied Sciences in Munich.
