Reimagining London’s existing assets

Reimagining London’s existing physical assets to contribute to building a fairer, safer, greener city was the key challenge of the design sprint we ran during the Urban C:lab Congress.

The result: seven intentionally bold, purposefully radical and proactive propositions developed free of constraint. Why? Well, to reimagine our major global cities across the world as places that are fair and equitable, requires us to drop conventional wisdom we argue.

The propositions put forward may not, as such, be deliverable today. They may not be the “right” solution. They may however spark thoughts about how space might be reimagined to this end.

Our seven propositions evolve around:

  1. Neighbourhood improvement zones
  2. Cultural geographies
  3. Public private community partnerships
  4. Living with water
  5. Green bath
  6. Office space matchmaking
  7. Social interaction stations

We invite you to read the provocations. Digest them. Debate them. Be inspired.

The propositions are intentionally bold, purposefully radical and proactive, and developed free of constraint.
