Nick Boid
Technical Director
Nick is an Associate who joined Buro Happold’s Energy Consulting team in 2018. He has extensive experience in the practical implementation and commissioning of large scale shallow geothermal energy systems.
Before joining the practice, he worked in the geothermal sector as part of a specialist design and build contractor delivering large scale ground and water source heat pump systems across the UK.
As as Director, he was responsible for all aspects of the business, including project management and commercial activity. Nick was heavily involved in the promotion of growth of the geothermal energy market in the UK by way of active participation in conferences, publications and courses.
Nick project portfolio ranges from university campuses to commercial buildings and high-end residential developments.
