Nash Emrich an associate in Buro Happold’s Washington DC office. Nash is a licensed architect with a background in planning and urban revitalization.

Nash guides clients to integrate sustainability strategies on a variety of building and project types. Nash thrives when leading workshops to establish clients’ sustainability visions and approach, is an expert in biophilic design, and is well-versed in neighborhood-scale urban planning.

Experienced in providing technical and analytical support to validate clients’ sustainability strategies, Nash manages green building certifications, such as LEED, WELL, and Living Building Challenge.

Committed to developing and promoting healthy, livable environments, Nash is involved in the sustainability and wellness design community. He advocates for healthier built environments as a Living Future Ambassador and past member of ILFI’s Biophilic Design Initiative Education Committee.

Nash has previously served as a member of ULI Northwest’s Interactive Programs committee, member of the DC LBC Collaborative, board member of the Montana Chapter of the USGBC, and president of TrailNet, an organization supporting urban trails in Billings, MT.
