Kam is an Associate MEP engineer who joined Buro Happold in 2017, now based in our Riyadh office. He is the Sports Venues & Events Lead in the Middle East & Africa region. With 18 years’ in the built environment industry, Kam provides a wealth of experience to his role.

In 2002, during his early career, Kam gained his experience by undergoing an apprenticeship and qualified as an electro-technical engineer. Upon qualifying, he gained experience as an Estimator, Quantity Surveyor and a D&B Designer. In 2008 he pursued a career in Building Services Consultancy.  Kam’s expertise working for both contracting and consultancy has given him the opportunity to work in an array of sectors such as Commercial, Education, Residential, MoJ, MoD, Transport and Healthcare, Sports Venues and Entertainment projects.

Kam become is a member of both (IHEEM) Institute of Healthcare Engineering and Estate Management and the (IET) Institute of Engineering and Technology. He is also undergoing an (MDA) Master of Design Administration, at Cardiff University. His passion for Engineering, Sport, Health and Wellbeing align with his personal commitment to improve venue designs through emerging technologies.

At Buro Happold, Kam is involved with sports stadia and arena projects such as the new stadium development at Everton Football Club where he is leading and coordinating the MEP design (including the specialist teams such as Fire, Security, IT, People Flow, Waste, Energy and Sustainability design teams). He has also been involved with the delivery scheme designs for FC Cincinnati, Bath FC and Lord’s Cricket redevelopment: Compton and Edrich stands.

Drawing from his strengths in building high performing teams, Kam leads multi-disciplinary teams efficiently and effectively. He also provides expert consultancy advice on Sports and Healthcare designs across Buro Happold globally.
