James Crossan
Associate Director
James is an associate director in our London energy team, he joined the practice in 2018. He is a Chartered Engineer with over 10 years of experience as a project manager and technical consultant in low carbon energy systems.
James has led the delivery of energy strategies, masterplans and techno-economic feasibility projects for public and private sector clients across the UK, Europe, Middle East, and USA.
He has developed energy centre and district heating/cooling solutions from a feasibility level through to commercialisation and has particular expertise in the design and delivery of large-scale closed loop ground source heat pump systems.
James has developed several sitewide decarbonisation strategies for ports in the UK considering infrastructure requirements for the transition to sustainable fuels and electrification of operations, as well as integration of onsite renewables. He recently developed an outline business case to deliver a first of a kind shore power system in the UK.
James holds a BEng (hons) in Mechanical Engineering and an MSc in Renewable Energy Engineering.
