Joining Buro Happold in 2020, Helen is an environmental consultant working within our cities team in Manchester.
Helen specialises in the delivery of environmental impact assessments (EIA) in the UK. She has a proven track record in the coordination and management of all stages of EIA having joined Buro Happold with over 15 years of private consultancy experience. Helen is also knowledgeable in providing post-planning consultancy advice for clients.
She has directed, managed or contributed to over 50 EIAs for large scale urban regeneration and infrastructure projects for both private and public sector clients, working with large multi-disciplinary teams.
Helen possesses significant London based EIA experience with projects including high-profile and complex hybrid applications for residential led schemes, often with tall buildings. Most recently, she led the EIA and project management of planning documents for three planning applications relating to residential and commercial development plots at Middlewood Locks in Salford, for the Scarborough Group. Helen is also now increasingly becoming involved in Middle Eastern project work.
She studied Human and Physical Geography at the University of Reading and holds a Post Graduate Certification in Development Planning. She is a practitioner member of the Institute of Environmental Management and Assessment.
