Frank Reder brings his expertise in acoustics to Buro Happold’s New York office, where he serves as the U.S. acoustics leader.

Growing up as a musician, Frank innately understands how sound affects the experience of a space – but it was his passion for design and love of architecture that ultimately brought him to a career in acoustics. His viewpoint on acoustics and design steams in part from his background as a jazz guitarist, and largely from his work with the world’s leading architects and institutions.

With over a decade of experience, his portfolio includes complex and high-profile projects around the world. His recent project work has included the Obama Presidential Center, the Museum of Modern Art, the National Geographic Society, Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater, the Avenues World School in Shenzen, Central Park Tower, Comcast Technology Center, and TWA Flight Center Hotel at JFK Airport, as well as several Apple Stores and more.
