Felicitas Leithner

Felicitas is a sustainability consultant based in Buro Happold’s Berlin office which she joined in 2021.  

Felicitas specialises in the field of embodied carbon and circularity at both building and district levels. Her work supports clients in delivering projects with a reduced carbon footprint to maximise their impact on the natural environment.

Felicitas brings a holistic approach to her work formed by her background in civil engineering, her focus on resource efficient building design and her prior experience in green building certifications.

Since joining Felicitas has worked on national and international sustainability, net zero emission and climate adaptation strategies on different scales. She guides clients throughout the process of green building and district certifications according to the standards of the German Green Building Council (DGNB) as well as the health and wellbeing certification according to the WELL standard.  

Felicitas graduated from the Technical University Munich with a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering and a master’s in resource efficient and sustainable building design. In addition, she is a registered consultant and auditor for the DGNB.
