Deepak Chotwani

Deepak is a business focussed transformational leader with a rich variety of experience of over 20 years spanning across four continents.

Since January 2024, Deepak has taken over a new challenge as regional managing director for India. Based in our Mumbai office, Deepak oversees the work of our teams across three offices in a vibrant and growing Indian sub-continent.

As a partner and member of the Global Leadership Team, Deepak is responsible for the overall business across our India region, supporting the growth initiatives and development of our business and our people. In addition, Deepak works with the other partners based in India on key strategic initiatives both for India and the wider practice.

Deepak is passionate about inspiring his teams and developing our wider consultancy, technology, and sustainability capabilities.

He joined Buro Happold in 2013, based out of our Hong Kong office, and has held several senior leadership roles at a regional level across the practice. His previous role focused on managing business in APAC, working with the teams to develop the Hong Kong & China business and providing strategic direction to the regional leadership.

Deepak has an MBA in finance and marketing from the University of Wales UK, and before that, he completed his graduation in finance from the University of Rajasthan in India. While being a numbers person, Deepak is always more interested in the story behind the numbers and how we can make our services greener, carbon efficient and business more client and people centric.
