Urban C:Lab teams with SOUR Studio on “The Roadmap to Connecting Clusters”

Check out our collaborative research via our Urban C:lab group. Our Urban C:Lab group’s latest collaborative research with hybrid design studio SOUR explores “The Roadmap to Connecting Clusters” – a process that establishes and implements a 15-Minute City vision for existing contexts anywhere.

The 15-Minute City and its variants like the 10-Minute Neighborhood or the 1-Minute city, have been ways to have a hyperlocal response to human and nature’s growing needs. The vision for the City centers on community engagement and existing infrastructure as starting points of transformation.

Interventions that create connected neighborhoods by coupling existing infrastructure of a decentralized network of a city, can grow into a network of connected clusters that cater to local needs – turning the city into a collection of neighborhoods that complement each other.

Strategic placement of key resources can create anchors at critical junctions across networks, to serve multiple populations and extend the reach of resources. We can achieve these connected clusters in 5 steps!
