Trevor’s experience as an environmental professional, both in consultancy and in local government, spans over 30 years. He has been involved in a large number of environmental impact assessments for a wide range of development proposals, including infrastructure projects, waste disposal and mineral extraction operations, residential schemes, industrial sites and new railway and road proposals.
As head of our Environment Group, he leads a team made up of both environmental scientists and engineers. Most of the group’s work is in support of development projects – at the feasibility, masterplanning or planning stages – and often where Buro Happold is also providing a range of infrastructure, sustainability, and other engineering services.
Trevor’s first project at Buro Happold involved presenting evidence to the House of Commons Select Committee into Crossrail on behalf of petitioners concerned about the future impacts from construction.
He has also worked on many high profile infrastructure projects in the UK and overseas including the redevelopment of Leith Docks in Edinburgh, the Millennium Dome, Arsenal Emirates Football Stadium, Channel Tunnel Rail Link, King Abdullah Economic City in Saudi Arabia, and a technical review of the UK Government’s Eco-towns proposals.
