Shivam Jumani joined Buro Happold’s Cities group in 2017 with a MSc in Real Estate Development and a BA in Economics and Urban Design.
Shivam understands the dynamics of the public and private sectors in shaping the built environment, and has applied this knowledge to large-scale planning and infrastructure revitalization projects in Upstate New York and Chicago.
He has also been involved in developing a climate action plan for New York City, and improving the public realm in Lower Manhattan.
Prior to joining Buro Happold, he interned at the MTA’s Transit Oriented Development group where he worked on developing a pedestrian access and parking strategy for a site adjoining the Ronkonkoma Station along the Long Island Railroad.
Shivam has also spent time the New York City Council assisting with research on landmarks and zoning proposals.
