Sarah Sachs

Sarah Sachs is a partner in Buro Happold’s New York office with nearly two decades of design experience in the built environment.

With a background in mechanical engineering, she focuses on the integration of all engineering disciplines with design and sustainability.

Her work encompasses all stages of the design process from planning to post occupancy evaluation and is inclusive of new construction, renovations and fit-outs. Sarah has extensive international project experience and has worked on educational, commercial, cultural and residential projects as well as master planning and detailed energy and technology studies.

A dedicated practitioner of sustainable design, Sarah utilizes her expertise beyond project work and has been involved in sharing her knowledge in the classroom. She is currently teaching at Columbia University in New York City and has previously held teaching positions at Cooper Union, Cornell and Yale.
