Head of Ecology
Sam has over 12 years experience in ecology and related project management, both in the UK and overseas. Her expertise generally lies in managing the ecological component of large-scale urban development and infrastructure projects.
A key component of this work is to review constraints and opportunities and provide strategic advice to clients regarding minimising ecological risk. Sam offers a solutions-focussed approach to constraints and regularly works within cross-discipline teams to resolve complex issues and to provide a positive outcome for both the development and biodiversity.
This includes preparing ecological documentation for planning applications, liaising with Local Planning Authorities and statutory bodies regarding protected species issues, and agreeing practical mitigation and enhancement measures consistent with each project’s vision.
Sam is an experienced project manager. She has managed budgets of over £1 million and all related field surveys, reporting and liaison with stakeholders, to ensure that projects are delivered on time and within budget.
