Sam Haston
Associate Director
Since joining Buro Happold, Sam has worked in a number of offices in the UK and Europe. Sam is a chartered mechanical engineer who enjoys solving complex technical challenges in the built environment often leading multi-disciplinary teams.
He has experience across a wide range of sectors on new build and refurbishment projects across the world. In the education sector he has worked on the new Bayes Centre Building and refurbishment of the McEwan Hall, both for Edinburgh University and the delivery of the district heating scheme at the University of Glasgow’s Gilmorehill Campus.
Sam seeks to engage with stakeholders to help develop people focused design solutions and maintain good communication throughout the design, construction and handover process.
He has presented at events to promote health, wellbeing, productivity and low energy design.
