Richard Wade

Richard has over 15 years of multi sector experience at Buro Happold. Originally specialising in airport and interchange structures, Richard has expanded his portfolio to include cultural, scientific and commercial sectors.

Richard has a diverse technical background with experience in substructures, high rise, seismic and lightweight structures. His broad understanding enables him to contribute on a wide range of projects.

His passion is to work closely with architects, clients and the project team to deliver challenging projects to a high degree of quality. In particular he revels where there is a complex technical requirement for the project. Richard approach here is to understand that requirement in detail and help the client and team develop an informed design.

Richard currently leads structural and multidisciplinary teams, working with a number of high profile architects and clients. Together with his range of local and foreign project experience, he is a valued member of the design team.
