Paul leads Buro Happold’s coastal and marine discipline, a team of technical specialists and many of the practice’s projects on the shoreline.
This centres on unlocking coastal sites through the application of a targeted suite of multi-disciplinary engineering, planning, and environmental services to realise client and architectural aspirations. Coastal sites offer a powerful juxtaposition of both significant opportunity and engineering challenge.
He has a broad global experience of project advisory and consultancy, covering the masterplanning through to design of globally-significant and small-scale waterfront projects, across over 20 countries.
He is Project Director to a multi-million pound portfolio of projects, drawing on the full spectrum of Buro Happold’s offer and in partnership with external specialists. Paul has recently delivered transformational harbour development projects in the UK, and new coastal resort and mixed-use developments in East Asia and the Red Sea, in close collaboration with the world’s leading architects.
Paul is a Chartered Engineer and a Professional Reviewer for the ICE, and his experience and skills are widely recognised in the industry.
