Paul Brenton

Paul leads Buro Happold’s coastal and maritime discipline and many of the practice’s projects on the shoreline.

Paul’s work centres on the unlocking of coastal sites through the application of a targeted suite of multidisciplinary engineering, planning and environmental services to realise client and architectural aspirations.

He has a broad global experience of project advisory and consultancy, covering the masterplanning through to the design of globally significant and small-scale waterfront projects, across 20 countries.

He is a Project Director to a multimillion pound portfolio of projects, drawing on the full spectrum of Buro Happold’s offer and in partnership with external specialists. Paul has recently delivered transformational harbour development projects in the UK, as well as new coastal resort and mixed-use developments in East Asia and the Red Sea, in close collaboration with the world’s leading architects.

Paul is a Chartered Engineer and a Professional Reviewer for the ICE. His experience and skills are widely recognised in the industry.
