After graduating from Bath University, Neil joined BuroHappold in 1989. He has since been made a partner in the practice.
With a truly holistic approach to engineering projects, Neil’s wealth of experience in delivering sustainable buildings to meet highly specific criteria is invaluable. His early career was spent developing better ways of understanding how buildings and people interact. This knowledge now forms a key component of his work in designing efficient and comfortable building environments.
Neil has been involved in the design, construction and delivery of many prestigious buildings across a number of sectors including museums, theatres, galleries, offices and bespoke facilities.
He also takes an interest in lighting design, having undertaken an MSc in Architecture, Light and Lighting Design in 1995-97. This balanced understanding of every aspect of a building allows Neil to design iconic structures that meet both stringent regulations and any number of specialist requirements.
