Max works across disciplines on challenging national and international projects in Buro Happold’s Berlin office, integrating specialist consulting, sustainability, simulation and MEP topics with a focus on holistic building performance evaluation and ideation during the design process.
His projects include the new headquarters for the European Investment Bank in Luxembourg, where Max was responsible for the Specialist Consulting input across six disciplines including Sustainability/SAT, (Day)Lighting and Facade Engineering. He also worked on Banque Libano-Francaise as the Specialist Consulting lead and Daylight Consultant, and Urbane Mitte Berlin as the District Energy Study Job Leader.
In addition, Max has worked on competitions and feasibility studies with many of the leading international architectural design practices; including Kengo Kuma and Associates, UNStudio, Henning Larsen Architects, and Behnisch Architekten, to develop cutting-edge design concepts that demonstrate sustained value to clients.
Apart from project work, Max is also involved in research on integrating dynamic building performance simulation tools into hybrid design-engineering work flows, with papers published in international journals and conference proceedings e.g. Building Simulation 2017.
