Jonathan is an experienced engineer with a focus on people-centric design. A chartered fire engineer with a specialism in evacuation, his background is rooted in pedestrian planning and crowd modelling.

This experience allows him to bring a raft of people-centric expertise to Buro Happold’s Inclusive Design team, particularly in his key sectors of Sports and Entertainment, Aviation and Rail. Passionate about co-design, Jonathan fosters collaboration on all his projects with internal and external stakeholders.

Jonathan is also a member of Buro Happold’s Urban C:lab Group, where he is looking to integrate his research on liveability and quality of life with key workstreams around health, wellbeing and inclusion. He is also working towards WELL AP certification as part of this drive. 

Jonathan’s notable projects include crowd modelling for the London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games, major stadia design including Tottenham Hotspur FC, Everton FC, Lord’s Cricket Ground and Twickenham Stadium, and rail projects such as Crossrail UK and Riyadh Metro.
