Jerry Young

Jerry is a chartered engineer with over 30 years experience in the delivery of large scale building and infrastructure projects.

After becoming a chartered structural engineer, he focused his career on the management and delivery of large scale projects both in the UK and overseas. Jerry lived in the Middle East for over 13 years and has executed projects in Kuwait, Oman, UAE, Qatar and Saudi Arabia.

In the context of the delivery of buildings, Jerry has worked on Canary Wharf, Wembley City for Quintain, Bur Juman Shopping Centre in Dubai and Al Faisaliah in Riyadh, a 240m high tower.

Whilst his infrastructure project experience includes Haramain in Saudi Arabia, Convoys Wharf and Wembley City, Brent Cross which are all large scale examples of urban regeneration projects.

Jerry’s primary responsibilities within Buro Happold is the management of multi-disciplinary teams and the delivery of large scale projects executed within the practice.
