Senior Inclusive Design Consultant
Jean is one of the leading practitioners in the field of inclusive design, having specialised in inclusive environments and accessibility since 2001.
A longstanding member of the BSI Committee “Design of an Accessible and Inclusive Environment”, Jean represents the Institute of Workplace and Facilities Management and several disability charities. She is an active member of the Access Association and is currently a member of the management advisory group for the National Register of Access Consultants(NRAC).
A Senior Honorary Lecturer at UCL, Jean has developed and delivers the “Designing Inclusive Places” module within the MSc Health Wellbeing and Sustainable Buildings programme.
She regularly trains client organisations on interpretation/application of equality law and design standards and runs two IOSH licensed programmes.
Jean remains passionate about achieving exemplary access wherever practicable, and her experience includes various aspects of health and safety and mental wellbeing.
She has a keen longstanding professional interest in fire evacuation for disabled people as well as taking an active interest in the design of buildings for people with vestibular and neurodiverse conditions.
