Senior Inclusive Design Consultant
Jean is one of the leading practitioners in the field of inclusive design, having specialised in inclusive environments and accessibility since 2001, she ensures that facilities are safe, accessible and inclusive for all.
Jean was previously Director of The Centre for Accessible Environments, a leading authority on inclusive design. She is also a longstanding member of the BSI Committee “Design of an Accessible and Inclusive Environment” where she represents the Institute of Workplace and Facilities Management and several disability charities. Jean is an active member of the Access Association and is a past Management Board member for the NRAC.
Jean is passionate about achieving exemplary access wherever practicable, whether that is in the building itself, or delivery of a service or information.
Although much of her work relates to access for disabled people, including building auditing and design appraisals, she has also been involved in various aspects of health and safety, fire evacuation of disabled people and wellbeing.
