Ioannis Gkikas

Ionnis completed his Diploma in Architecture and Engineering, graduating with Honours at Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, Greece. During his studies he had the opportunity to work for Greek architectural offices and construction companies as an intern, becoming involved in concept design, 3D modelling, CAD design, site visits and graphic design.

His interests include Building Technology and the envelope of heritage and contemporary buildings. It was these that were the driving force behind Ioannis’ further studies. He has now received a scholarship from the Bodossaki Foundation, and earned his second MSc in Building Technology at TU Delft, specialised in Facade Design.

Ioannis joined Buro Happold in London as a Graduate Facade Engineer, has since been involved in a variety of projects with the company all around the world.

He is a chartered member of RIBA, ARB, TEE.
