Erleen joined BuroHappold in 2009 as a partner in the New York office. She has over 25 years of experience in the structural design of a wide range of complex projects including sports facilities, high rise, commercial, residential and academic buildings. With degrees in both architecture and engineering she has an appreciation for the value of creative approaches to design. She frequently lectures on innovation and new technologies in engineering and architecture, including Building Information Modeling (BIM), steel fabrication modeling and new collaboration processes.
She sits on numerous national industry boards including the global non-profit Applied Technology Council, the Beverly Willis Foundation and locally, was a part of the New York City Department of Buildings Code Review committee and chaired the Steel Building Code Chapter review committee. In addition, she has taught graduate classes at Yale University.
A recognized leader in the industry, Erleen was named a “Game Changer” in 2014 and a “Power Player” in 2016 by Sports Business Journal magazine. She was honored by Professional Women in Construction in 2013.
