Damien has over 30 years of professional experience in civil engineering. He is responsible for a range of major projects in addition to ground related and remediation elements of projects in the North. This involves overseeing all aspects of civil and foundation engineering for a range of differing types and scale of developments.

His experience covers contract administration, investigation, foundation engineering, retaining structures, earthworks, mining legacy, infrastructure, hydrogeology and ground related aspects of sustainable technologies. Experience of key authority and stakeholder engagement requirements including Network Rail, The Coal Authority and NHBC in addition to the general planning and regulatory authorities provides useful insights in to project planning and risk management strategies.

Damien has provided ground and civil engineering related input to a range of office and commercial schemes in addition to various mixed use developments, public realm schemes and projects in an urban setting.

Damien has vast experience in urban design and in dealing with difficult brownfield sites, providing best value solutions and reducing risk. We are able to offer knowledge of engineering, environmental and ground constraints to optimise the efficiencies of foundation, earthwork and drainage solutions, particularly in difficult ground or where basement construction is required.

Our early involvement is typically instrumental in risk management and delivery of well coordinated and holistic engineering of difficult sites, delivering Environmental Impact Assessments and other related planning requirements.
