Christine Lowry

Since joining Buro Happold in 2001, Christine has honed her expertise as a mechanical building services engineer, spending the majority of this time working at our Leeds office. 

She has a demonstrable track record in leading the successful delivery of commercial, civic, cultural, educational and scientific buildings for both private and public sector clients across multiple disciplines.

Christine’s master’s in interdisciplinary design for the built environment, combined with her extensive experience, knowledge and hands-on approach has allowed her to deliver complex projects. These include commercial and residential mixed-use schemes, historic refurbishments, spaces with close environmental control such as galleries, exhibition spaces and archives, as well as quirky local schemes that spark engineering imagination and innovation.

Passionate about the regeneration of buildings, low carbon building design and renewable energy, Christine has previously been both a low carbon assessor and registered BREEAM assessor.
