Christine has a degree in architectural engineering and a masters in integrated design in the built environment. This morphed into becoming a mechanical building services engineer but she retain an enthusiasm for bringing experience and knowledge of working in multidisciplinary teams to all of her projects.
She graduated in 2001 and has worked for Buro Happold ever since, spending the majority of that time working at Buro Happold’s Leeds office. During her early years she worked on a number of complex scientific, research and laboratory buildings.
Ever since she has been drawn to anything complex including historic refurbishments, spaces with close environmental control such as gallery, exhibition and archive spaces, as well as quirky local schemes that spark engineering imagination and inject enthusiasm into her daily workload.
Delivering low energy designs that will work in practice is also important to Christine. In the past she has been both a low carbon assessor and registered BREEAM assessor.
Outside of work Christine enjoys the benefits of living on the edge of the Yorkshire Dales, mostly rock climbing, a little fell running and very occasionally cycling.
