Chris has been with Buro Happold for nearly 10 years, becoming a Chartered member of both the Institution of Civil Engineers and Institution of Structural Engineers.
During his early career, he gained experience in designing and delivering a variety of structures, ranging from local sports halls to tall buildings and more recently Tottenham Hotspur’s new stadium and the world renowned Louvre Museum in Abu Dhabi.
Chris prides himself on innovative thinking and was instrumental in the creation of a sliding pitch at the new THFC stadium, which increased stadium utilisation and opened up new revenue generating opportunities.
He has developed a passion for sports structures and has built on his excellent grounding in the technical and project delivery sides of engineering a stadium by researching the effect design has on crowd experience.
By linking crowd experience, atmosphere and revenue generation, Chris has developed a deep understanding of how we can begin to engineer the stadia of the future.
He brings this knowledge along with drive and enthusiasm to each project he works on.
