Andrew Tabern

Andrew is a Chartered Structural Engineer with over 15 years’ experience within the construction industry and has a sound knowledge in design, incorporating all materials to create elegant and efficient structures.

Areas of expertise include structures with a strong architectural philosophy, structural modification of existing structures, transfer structures, historic and listed structural alterations and the design of high rise structures.

Andrew has developed considerable experience in designing and delivering commercial structures with a balanced mix of the design of modification of existing structures and the design and development of new build structures working with some of the most prominent commercial developers in the UK together with high profile Architectural practices.

He has also delivered multistory commercial developments with one/two storey basements on very restrictive sites in major UK cities and has worked to mitigate underground transport infrastructure, mining and UXO risks at an early stage.

Whether these are delivered specifically for an end user, built ‘spec’ or developed with tenant input being introduced at various stages through the build period he is acutely aware of the need for efficient designs that provide simple yet discreet servicing strategies and offer the opportunity to be split or user in a flexible nature down the line and deliver the maximum potential value for the developer.
