Alexander Schmidt-Narischkin

Alexander, a graduate of Hanover University, has over 20 years of experience as a structural engineer. His key areas of expertise are reinforced concrete and timber structures as well as wide spanning steel composite structures.
For Alexander Building Information Modelling (BIM) has become a familiar tool in communicating with planning partners.
Based in our Berlin office as the team leader for multidiscipline engineering projects, Alexander is responsible for the overall delivery of the clients requirements. Drawing on his extensive experience of many complex projects and excellent communication skills he works closely with the whole team to ensure the delivery of coordinated engineer solutions addressing aesthetics, quality of space, site specific constraints and efficiency.
Before joining Buro Happold in 2008 Alexander gained experience in a number of international engineering practices including working for ARUP for ten years. An expert in designing complex structures, Alexander has worked with well known architects and clients such as hg merz, Graft, RTKL and Aukett + Heese.
Alexander enjoys working on highly complex projects such as the rehearsal stages of the Deutsche Staatsoper in Berlin and the commercially driven entertainment district Mercedes Platz.
