Adarsh is an economist with over 14 years public and private sector experience in low carbon transition, climate finance, sustainable transport and smart cities.
He specialises in urban economic development, business case analysis and economic appraisals for development projects. He is particularly interested in solutions should that demonstrate positive Financial and Economic rate of return.
He has developed business models and strategic cases that capture wider economic, social, environmental and governance benefits to judge viability of projects.
He has worked on urban projects in UK, Europe and South Asia for multilateral financing institutions, public and private sector.
Adarsh has advised a wide range of clients, including the World Bank, GIZ, Asia Development Bank, European Commission, the European Environment Agency, International Labour Organisation, EDF Energy, Indian Planning Commission, Indian National Energy, Environment and Power ministries, UK Department for Energy and Climate Change, UK Foreign and Commonwealth Office, UK Department for Business, Innovation & Skills and UK Department for International Development.
He has previously worked for the Ricardo-AEA, GHK Consulting and the Greater London Authority. Adarsh led Ricardo’s business services (air quality, waste and resource efficiency, energy and climate change and sustainable transport) in India and South Asia.
He joined BuroHappold’s Economics Team in 2016 and he is currently overseeing the majority of the team’s UK and international projects.
