Buro Happold receives four Society of Digital Engineering Awards

Buro Happold has received multiple awards, including ‘Best consultancy of the year’ at the the first annual Society of Digital Engineering ceremony which was held on the 27th November

The new awards, presented by CIBSE’s recently formed Society of Digital Engineering, recognise innovation, leadership and best practice in a discipline that has become fundamental to the design of high performance buildings.

In addition to receiving the award for best digital engineering consultancy, the practice also picked up the Best Innovation Award for its ground-breaking work on a Single Analysis Model, solving one of the perennial problems of digital design. The ability for our experts to collaborate was also celebrated, with the team who worked on the Engineering Research Center at Brown University receiving the award for Best Project / Collaboration – Project over £10m.

Finally, Senior physics engineer, Michal Dengusiak, was singled out as Best Digital Engineer of the year for his work across the digital spectrum of the organisation, exploiting a wide range of data and interpretive tools to help the company streamline its business and revealing insights to drive improved building design.
