Buro Happold part of winning design team for Sportsarena Olympiapark

3XN and landscape architects Latz + Partner, in collaboration with Buro Happold, has won 1st prize in the competition to design a new 11,000-seat multi-functional Sportarena for EHC Red Bull München and FC Bayern München Basketball.

The multi-functional Sportarena will be the new home for the ice hockey team from Red Bull München and the basketball team from FC Bayern München. It will be located on the site of the former velodrome in the Munich Olympic Park and will have a capacity of up to 11,000 seated guests. The competition was launched by the Red Bull Stadion München GmbH with the City of Munich in August 2018.
