The 4,600ft2 media lab, located in the historic School of Journalism building at Columbia University, is an academic experiment devoted to the co-evolution of technology and storytelling. A series of intertwining luminous elements builds a network of ambient light to support the Institute’s varied programmatic needs – including faculty offices, meeting rooms and work areas to accommodate technologically focused course work.

The Institute opened in 2014 and was designed by LTL Architects.
