UAE

Bordering Saudi Arabia and Oman, the UAE is a federation of seven emirates.  Abu Dhabi is the capital and second largest city in the United Arab Emirates and is at the heart of the federation accounting for 87% of the total land mass.  Abu Dhabi  leads the way in fostering the dialogue on political thinking, industry and culture.

In a population of some 5 million people, less than 20% are UAE nationals or Emiratis. Huge numbers of people migrate to the area and there are significant numbers of resident European expats so that the federation has become more multicultural.

As home to important financial institutions Abu Dhabi is a focal point for the EAE federation offering BuroHappold the opportunity to realise many of our own aspirations working within vibrant cultures.

We deliver world class design and engineering solutions on time and to budget; we focus on developing each client’s vision to it fullest potential. We seize the opportunities we are given by trusting clients to explore and experiment on sustainable innovation. Many of these values can be seen in the projects that we have worked on in the region including Al Sowa Island, Bur Juman, the Louvre Abu Dhabi and the Ras al Khaimah Gateway.
