1 / Introduction

Riverside Park is a new A class office complex that comprises of two 6 storey buildings, an underground car park, cafeterias, office space and an imposing reception hall.

Responsible for the structural and mechanical engineering for the building Buro Happold’s team was tasked with designing a comfortable and friendly workplace atmosphere balanced with the limitations of the existing building such as height and land development conditions.

The Riverside investors wanted to offer their tenants an open space with a great degree of flexibility in terms of space adaptability depending on individual needs and requirements.

To fulfil the client’s desire for a functional and flexible office layout our team proposed to use pre-stressed concrete for the building’s structure. Despite a considerably wide load-bearing wall span, the use of prestressed beams eliminated the need for additional supporting elements in the form of poles from the office, creating open, light and bright spaces for people to work in. Riverside Park was only the second office development to be constructed in Poland with the technology of pre-stressed concrete.

Through the use of innovative building technologies the office areas boast a high level of finish attracting quality tenants.
