Ron Elad

Ron Elad is a principal at Buro Happold with expertise in project leadership, complex geometry, computational design and fabrication.

Ron leads multi-disciplinary engineering teams on projects that require cross-office collaboration where Buro Happold is the prime consultant. He also leads the US cultural sector and provides project and team leadership to help clients meet their goals.

Ron’s key strengths include collaboration with clients in early stages of the design process and managing unique projects such as art installations, complex geometry projects and projects requiring specialist consulting. His unique contribution to a project includes an holistic approach where aesthetics, constructability, sustainability and complicated technical aspects are being valued and implemented.

In addition to his professional work, Ron serves on the Material & Applications (M&A) board of directors, a non-profit organization dedicated to building a public culture of experimental architecture in Los Angeles. Ron is also actively engaged in academic studios and leading seminars at education institutions including University of California, Los Angeles ‘Suprastudio’, Massachusetts Institute of Technology, Stanford University, University of Texas Austin, and University of Southern California (USC).
