Peter is an air quality consultant working within our environment group and specialises in air quality research.

Peter joined Buro Happold’s London office after graduating from Royal Holloway University of London with a master’s degree in Environmental Management.

Since joining the practice, Peter has worked on and assistant managed several residential, industrial, transport and mixed-use projects in the UK and internationally. He integrates design principles on projects to ensure that the impact on air quality is minimised, taking into account the specific requirements of cities around the world.

Peter’s specialist knowledge and expertise extends to environmental impact assessments (EIA), site appraisals, scoping and screening reports and assessments on a range of projects. He is an advanced user of atmospheric dispersion modelling software and a proficient user of integrated geographical information systems (GIS) packages, both of which can be effectively used to display environmental and air quality data.

Peter has a particular interest in the impact of poor air quality in urban areas and how this effects peoples’ daily lives, as well as investigating the wider implications on public health and the economy.
